Gruffalo Biscuits in Oak

This week, we have loved exploring the story The Gruffalo. We enjoyed listening to the story, joining in with repeated phrases and learning all about the different characters. Throughout the week, we retold the story, sequenced key events, created Gruffalo-themed crafts and drew pictures inspired by the story.

As a special treat today, we decorated biscuits to look just like the Gruffalo! We carefully added his orange eyes, terrible tusks and even a poisonous wart at the end of his nose. We were very proud of our creations and took great care to add all the little details.

Afterwards, we gobbled up our biscuits while listening to the story one more time, making it a lovely way to celebrate all of our learning this week. We had a fantastic time and loved seeing how everyone’s Gruffalo biscuit was unique.
