Nursery – Cherry

It’s been a hot one this week – however Cherry class have tried their best to stay cool in the sun. We have kindly had lots of parents donate ice for ice play, we’ve dipped our feet in it, tried to melt the ice and rescue the pipe cleaners and we played a circle game called ‘Pass the ice cube’, the ice cube was melting quickly! We found cooler places within the school and had a story. As well as had some fantastic discussions about our book of the week ‘Someone swallowed Stanley’, the children made their own Stanley’s using cut up plastic bags, and we talked about the hurt and damage causes to sea creatures. Well done Cherry class for coping so well in the heat this week! Let’s hope next week is a little cooler! #earlybirds
