Nursery – Cherry

This week we have been reading ‘Shark in the Park’, the children have loved this story and picked up on the rhyming phrases quickly. We have made telescopes just like Timothy Pope and we have explored different under the sea creatures! We have also celebrated Culture week, each day representing a different country and activity – Cherry classes favourite was the African drum session, the children followed the musical instructions and were able to tap syllables to African country names. With all the rain we had on Tuesday, the children got dressed in wellies and raincoats and went collecting rain drops, using language such as ‘full, empty, and half full’. We also got to take part in the penalty shoot out, where had a few minutes to score as many goals as they could. What a great last week of term! Go Cherries! #earlybirds
