Hedgehogs Working Hard 🦔

Hedgehog Class enjoyed a wonderful range of activities this week, each supporting key areas of early learning. During Bucket Time, the children developed their attention, listening and turn‑taking skill. Our emotion‑recognition activities helped the children identify and talk about different feelings, supporting their self‑regulation and emotional understanding. The children also explored pattern recognition, building their early mathematical thinking, noticing similarities, differences and simple repeating patterns. The children practised balancing and jumping safely from a low beam, which strengthened their gross‑motor control, coordination and confidence in moving in different ways. Together, these activities supported the children’s communication, physical development, emotional wellbeing and early problem‑solving skills.
