Taotie motifs in Cedar class

This week in art, Year 5 Cedar Class explored the fascinating Taotie motifs from the Shang Dynasty. The children carefully studied the intricate designs found on ancient Chinese bronze vessels before creating their own bronze-inspired artwork.
The class demonstrated excellent focus and creativity throughout the lesson. They paid close attention to symmetry, patterns, and fine details, thoughtfully recreating the distinctive features of Taotie designs. It was wonderful to see the children persevere with such complex shapes and decorative elements, producing artwork that reflected both skill and care.
