Muddy learning!

Year 5 have been exploring the conditions for planting crops. They looked at what the soil conditions needed to be in order to grow the best crops, and we explored the playground and field for any soil. We took this back to the classroom and investigated the texture of the soil, if there were any stones inside and how well it absorbed water. We all came to the conclusion that the soil on the field provided the best conditions for growing crops, as it absorbed water really well. Great investigating Year 5! 🔍
