Ukulele Maestros! Y3/4- Ash

This week, Ash Class had great fun taking their first steps as ukulele players! 🎸

They began by exploring the structure of the ukulele, identifying the body and head, before using the memorable mnemonic “Green Caterpillars Eat Apples” to help them learn the strings G, C, E and A, building their musical knowledge and understanding of the instrument.

The children were brilliant listeners, showing fantastic focus as they followed instructions and handled their instruments carefully.

As we began to explore how to hold and play the ukulele, they took their first steps towards playing and performing with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression.

The children also demonstrated how ambitious they are by embracing the challenge of learning a brand-new instrument, having a go and persevering when something felt unfamiliar. 🌟

A fantastic first session, full of music, smiles and Ambitious, Brilliant learning! 🎵👏
