Science in Cedar

This week in Science, Year 5 Cedar Class explored the topic of forces. The children learned about the difference between mass and weightand discussed how they are measured.
Using scales and Newton meters, the children measured the mass and weight of a variety of objects found around the classroom. They carefully recorded their findings in a results table before analysing the data.
To present their results, the children created line graphs and used them to investigate whether there was a relationship between an object’s mass and its weight. The class demonstrated excellent scientific enquiry skills, making observations and drawing conclusions from the evidence they collected.
