This week, Year 5 Cedar Class has continued exploring Dance by Chance in PE. Last week, the children focused on developing a variety of actions and movements, experimenting with different ways to travel, jump, turn and gesture.
Today, the children built on these skills by exploring dynamics in dance. They learned how changes in speed, strength, energy and flow can affect a performance and help communicate different moods and ideas. The class worked enthusiastically to adapt their movements, creating sequences that were controlled, expressive and engaging.
It has been wonderful to see the children growing in confidence, creativity and teamwork as they develop their dance skills.
