Maths in Elder 🧮

Check out Elder class getting hands-on with their maths learning, using manipulatives to explore place value up to 100,000!
By physically building and moving numbers, pupils are developing a deeper understanding of the value of each digit and how numbers are composed. Manipulatives help to make abstract mathematical concepts more concrete and visual, allowing children to see the relationship between ones, tens, hundreds, thousands and beyond.
This practical approach also encourages pupils to reason, problem-solve and explain their mathematical thinking, while building confidence and providing opportunities to learn through trial and error.
It was fantastic to see the class working collaboratively, discussing their ideas and using practical resources to strengthen their mathematical understanding. 🌟➗
