Cherry Class have had a fantastic start to the year and are settling into nursery life with growing confidence. Through learning new classroom routines and expectations, the children are developing their Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) skills, building independence, confidence and a sense of belonging within our class community. They have enjoyed making new friends and learning how to play and work alongside others, supporting the development of positive relationships and communication skills.
Meeting Dudley has been a highlight of the week and provided opportunities for children to develop emotional awareness, confidence and communication, while also encouraging curiosity and respect for others. During our balance beam activities, the children have been strengthening their Physical Development skills by improving balance, coordination and body control. Exploring the rainy weather with umbrellas encouraged the children to talk about their experiences, extend their vocabulary and develop their understanding of the world around them. In our animal habitat sorting activity, the children investigated where different animals live, supporting their Understanding the World development through observation, discussion and classification. We are incredibly proud of how well Cherry Class are settling in and embracing new experiences as they begin or continue their learning journey. #earlybirds
