Hedgehog class has had an exciting time exploring their new outdoor provision. They have played beautifully alongside one another, demonstrating parallel play skills and an enthusiasm for exploration.
These experiences have aligned with several EYFS goals. One such example is physical development, with the outdoor environment supporting the development of both gross and fine motor skills through climbing, balancing, and exploring natural materials.
It is important for our most vulnerable learners to have a dedicated sensory-rich environment with space to move freely, and opportunities for therapeutic play such as sand and water stations. Importantly, these activities help support their emotional regulation and sensory integration.
We are dedicated to ensuring that the children benefit from an inclusive setting, where they can all participate at their own pace.
