Holly and Ash become botanical artists!

This week, Holly and Ash Class have been busy becoming botanical artists as they worked on creating their final art pieces. Drawing on the observational sketches they have carefully produced over recent weeks, the children studied plants closely and focused on capturing the intricate details that make each one unique.

As part of their artistic process, the children created colour swatches to explore different shades, tones and textures before applying them to their masterpieces. They demonstrated great patience and perseverance, taking time to observe carefully and refine their work to achieve the best possible outcome.

This learning links closely to our school values of being Ambitious and Visionary. The children showed ambition by challenging themselves to develop their artistic skills and strive for high-quality outcomes. They were visionary in the way they looked closely at the natural world, using their observations creatively to transform simple sketches into beautiful and detailed botanical artworks.

We are incredibly proud of the focus, creativity and determination the children have shown! Well done Year 3 🙂
