This week we have been reading ‘Pigeon has to go to school’ it has sparked some fantastic conversation between friends about September and the children’s new teachers, classrooms and new friends! Despite the heat we’ve taken shelter in the shaded gate entrance and managed to continue water play and quieter, calmer activities. The children have enjoyed sharing books together, watching the football highlights, and colouring and drawing this week. We also played a game of ‘fruit salad’ where the children chose their favourite snack and swapped with those who had the same, we discussed the fruit’s similarities and differences too. 2 more weeks to go Cherries, let’s keep having fun! #earlybirds
