Friendship Fun – Yew class

Today in Yew Class, the children enjoyed taking part in a range of friendship activities linked to their new book, Hello Friend, as they explored the importance of kindness, respect and caring for others. They decorated friendship bracelets, wrote thoughtful cards of appreciation, sorted friendly and unfriendly actions, and used puppets to role-play acts of kindness.
Through working together, sharing resources and discussing what makes a good friend, the children developed their Personal, Social and Emotional Development by building positive relationships and considering the feelings of others. Decorating bracelets and writing cards strengthened their Physical Development through fine motor skills, while discussions and role-play supported Communication and Language by encouraging speaking, listening and sharing ideas.
