Oak class had a wonderfully lively week, all sparked by our story Pirates Love Underpants. The children threw themselves into the pirate theme with huge enthusiasm, especially during our musical sea‑shanty adventure. Using drums, egg shakers and triangles, they experimented with rhythm, tempo and teamwork to create a brilliant pirate performance!
This hands-on music session supported key Early Learning Goals: children listened carefully to one another, followed simple instructions, explored expressive arts, and built confidence in sharing their creations. Our pirate-themed discussions also encouraged rich vocabulary, imaginative storytelling and collaborative play — all wrapped in fun, laughter and a lot of swashbuckling spirit. 🏴‍☠️⚓️🧜🌊
