This week in Cherry we have read ‘Julian is a mermaid’. The children have dressed up as mermaids, and elaborated their play ideas with one another. They have used their big gross motor movements to create an under the sea scene on the easel outside using paint and strengthened their fine motor skills through weaving mermaids tails using wool. We have explored simple coding while using the Sphero Indi’s attaching seahorses to them so they could travel across the sea map. The children were able to describe the route they took across the map. The children made their own photo frames, turned themselves into divers and mermaids through a range of craft activities all independently and all look individual to themselves! What a ‘wavy’ week we have had. Let’s see what next week’s learning brings us! #earlybirds
