This week we have been explored ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, the children have developed their fine motor skills and prepared a range of picnic food to share with their growns up at our ‘Very Hungry picnic. The children have enjoyed retelling the story to one another and sharing key phrases and events from the book. They have all had an interest in Mario Kart this week, so they created their own character puppets and pretended to sit in the cinema and watch the race! We have also had a go at combining amounts – using the caterpillars tasty fruit to help us. We’re still waiting for our chrysalis to hatch, let’s hope they do soon! #earlybirds
