Light bulb moments in Birch.

In Science, Y4 Birch applied their investigative skills by exploring simple electrical circuits. They tested whether given circuits worked and used their knowledge to explain why, demonstrating an understanding of complete circuits, components (such as bulbs, wires, switches and cells) and how they function.

They worked collaboratively to discuss their ideas and used prior learning about conductivity and how electricity flows to support their reasoning. This showed strong scientific thinking and the ability to build on previous knowledge.

A brilliant display of curiosity, collaboration and ambition, Birch—well done! 😊
