James Rizzi inspired collages in Hazel

In art, Year 1 and 2 children explored the colourful and imaginative artwork of James Rizzi to inspire their own vibrant street-view collages. Using a variety of materials and textures, including paper, fabric, cardboard and patterned surfaces, the children created city scenes filled with character and detail. This project supported the Year 1 and 2 art curriculum by encouraging pupils to develop drawing and collage techniques while experimenting with colour, shape and texture. The children also learned how artists can represent buildings and communities creatively, using observation and imagination to express their own ideas through art.
