Hazel Class Science

As part of our Science learning this term, our Year 1 and 2 class showed wonderful creativity and curiosity while exploring plants. After carefully examining real plants outdoors, the children used their observations to create detailed pictures of plants, thoughtfully adding and labelling each part, including the roots, stem, leaves, and flowers. They demonstrated great care in noticing colours, shapes, and textures found in nature. To deepen their understanding, the children also made videos explaining the different jobs each plant part does, such as how roots absorb water, stems support the plant, and leaves help make food. It was fantastic to see the children combining art, science, and communication skills so confidently and enthusiastically throughout this topic.
