Up and Down

This week, Cherry Class have been diving into the story Up and Down and bringing it to life in lots of exciting ways. The children showed amazing creativity as they designed and made their own penguins using a range of arts and crafts, while also developing their cutting skills.

We took learning beyond the classroom by exploring gross motor skills, practising our best penguin waddles on stilts. Working together, the children collaborated brilliantly to build a cosy den for their penguin to live in, showcasing great teamwork and ambition.

Alongside this, we have been focusing on friendships, discussing what conflicts are and learning positive ways to resolve them so we can all be kind and responsible friends. To finish the week, Cherry Class explored the world around them by investigating which objects fly up into the sky and which stay down on the ground.
A busy, creative, and fun-filled week of learning for Cherry Class!
