Our theme of the week in Hedgehog Class has been Do the Dinosaur, and the children have taken part in a range of dinosaur‑themed activities. They explored imaginative role play, created vibrant dino dot art using paint pens, designed their own dinosaur masks, and took part in a wonderfully fun (and very messy!) footprint activity. Through these exciting experiences, the children worked towards several EYFS goals, including developing their creativity through art and design, building gross and fine motor skills during mark‑making and craft activities and using imaginative play to pretend to be different types of dinosaur. They developed their communication and language skills by commenting about different dinosaurs and the sounds they might have made, and shared their artistic creations with us.
