YR – Oak Class 🧬🧫🧪

This week in Reception, we explored a fun and engaging science experiment to help us understand how rain moves through the clouds. The children were excited to take part and showed great curiosity as they observed what was happening.
Before we began, the class shared their predictions about what they thought might happen. It was wonderful to hear their ideas and reasoning, with many thoughtful and imaginative responses. During the experiment, the children carefully watched the changes and discussed what they could see, using their observation skills brilliantly.
This activity supported several Early Learning Goals. It linked to Understanding the World, as children explored natural phenomena and began to make sense of the world around them. It also supported Communication and Language, with children expressing their ideas, answering questions, and engaging in discussions. In addition, the activity encouraged Thinking Critically, as children made predictions, tested their ideas, and reflected on what they observed.
