Practical perimeter 📏 Year 5

Year 5 pupils have confidently applied their understanding of perimeter, meeting the National Curriculum objective to measure and calculate the perimeter of composite (rectilinear) shapes in centimetres and metres. Using practical resources, they visualised and created their own shapes, identified the length of each side, and accurately added these to find the total perimeter. A brilliant example of hands-on mathematical problem-solving! 💵💵
