We have been working hard to support the childrenās developing joint attention, listening, and attention skills. The children have been highly engaged during Bucket Time, maintaining focus and anticipation as each motivating object is revealed. This activity supports their ability to shift attention, sustain concentration, and follow adult-led experiences.
After Stage One, we extended learning with an exciting, interactive session. Today we sang āFive Currant Bunsā, which encouraged the children to join in with familiar songs, use number language, and respond to repeated phrases and actions. The children found the activity hilarious, and it offered rich opportunities for developing shared attention, early communication, and social interaction. Much fun was had by all, and we are excited to continue exploring more activities that nurture the childrenās listening, engagement, and communication skills.
