In PE, Year 4 Sycamore Class took part in a calm and focused yoga session that helped them develop key physical skills, including balance, flexibility, control and coordination. The children practised a range of breathing techniques to support regulation, concentration and readiness for learning, noticing how steady, controlled breathing can help their bodies and minds feel more grounded.
They also worked through a gentle yoga flow, moving smoothly between poses while focusing on posture, core strength, and maintaining control throughout each transition. These activities supported the KS2 aims of improving flexibility, strength and balance.
The children showed excellent engagement, listening carefully to guidance, demonstrating body awareness, and showing respect for their own physical limits and those of others.
