The Great Fire of London – Making a replica of Pudding Lane

As part of their History work on the Great Fire of London, the children created detailed models of the houses on Pudding Lane, helping them to develop their understanding of how the design and structure of buildings contributed to the spread of the fire. They also used VR headsets to experience a virtual reconstruction of the event, supporting their ability to use a range of sources to find out about the past. Throughout this topic, the children have shown great enthusiasm and can now confidently sequence the key events, demonstrating strong chronological understanding.
