Today in Hazel Class, our Year 2 children took part in a lively and practical maths session. They used a range of classroom resources to make groups of two, then built on this by writing repeated addition and multiplication number sentences. The children were enthusiastic, engaged, and really enjoyed exploring these ideas in a hands‑on way. We then moved the learning outdoors for an active running quiz, where they practised odds and evens and worked in teams to answer times‑table questions on the whiteboard. There was plenty of energy, friendly competition, and fantastic teamwork throughout the afternoon.
