Year 1/2 – Maple Class

This week in Maple class we began our topic which includes learning all about the Great Fire of London. We began by first taking a trip around London as we know it today, taking note of the famous landmarks. We also shared our firsthand experiences of London demonstrating excellent listening skills and respect to each other. We then had to create a pitch to encourage Mrs Foad to visit London! We made posters, leaflets, books, and even a ChatterPix!
We then stepped back in time and learned that there was a huge fire in September 1666. We had to break the news to everyone and it was up to us how we did it, we had breaking news reports, green screens and ChatterPix videos. Please ask us about it if you would like to learn about it too!
