Homophone Hunters! Ash Class – Year 3

This week, Ash Class turned into Homophone Hunters!

The children started the lesson off by racing to find their matching homophone partner, working together to define each word and sharpen their spelling skills. Then the drama began—quite literally—as they stepped into role as the lonely father rowing out to sea, gathering exciting vocabulary as the sun set and the moon appeared.

Using teamwork, rich language, and accurate homophones, the children created wonderfully descriptive pieces about his journey. A fun‑filled session of collaboration, creativity and super‑charged writing skills!
