The Little Red Hen

This week we have been reading the ‘Little Red Hen’. The children have throughly enjoyed making their own bread rolls, as well as taste testing different types of bread and sharing their favourites. They have identified the repetition within the story and can confidently tell us which animals did not want to help the hen. The children sorted a range of pictures into helpful scenarios and unhelpful, we had lots of discussion about whether we help our grown ups at home – the response was mixed! We also had a variety of Maths through Art activities throughout the provision and the children made shape rockets. 3 weeks left to go until the holidays and we have so much more planned! #earlybirds
