How to Catch a Star ⭐️Saplings Class have enjoyed exploring the story ‘How to Catch a Star’ by Oliver Jeffers. The children have loved the space element of our stories this term, and have continued to enjoy building and creating rockets and stars. The children created treasure chests to keep their very own star safe, after finding a star with their name on hidden around our classroom. The class used different materials to create their own star wands, and used large muscle movements to dance to ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ with their wands. Finally, the children have enjoyed sensory exploration this week. Through finding numbered stars in glitter and sand, and working on their fine-motor skills through the use of tweezers to collect star cereal. #earlybirds
