The Little Red Hen.

This week the children have been discussing whether they would like to help the Little Red in the story.  We made a vote and wrote our names on a post it note, most of Cherry class chose to help! We have learnt how wheat is turned into flour with the use of a mill, and watched how a bakery uses the flour. The children then decided to create a bakery, and sell warm bread to each other. We even got the chance the make our own bread rolls and make an independent choice of butter or jam as a topping. The children did some fantastic observational drawings of red feathers, and wheat and talked about what they felt like. We have been busy, just like the little red hen this week!
